Modern Day Music was created in Clifton Park in 2011 around a simple idea: people stick with music when they genuinely enjoy playing it.
So instead of forcing every student through the same curriculum, we start with what they want to play — then build the technique, theory and musicianship around it.
Students don’t all learn the same way, and they don’t all want the same things from music. Our coaches tailor lessons to the student while making sure the fundamentals aren’t skipped.
The result is less pressure, more motivation and students who actually look forward to playing.
MDM coaches are experienced musicians, performers and educators — but just as importantly, they’re people students enjoy spending time with. Coaches become mentors, role models and trusted guides as students grow.
