Private Coaching
In Person & Live Online Lessons Available
Kids learn best when they love what they’re playing.
We meet young musicians where they are — with music they connect with, coaches they look forward to seeing, and an approach that builds real skills without taking the fun out of it.
Adults absolutely belong here.
Whether you’re starting for the first time or picking up an instrument again after years away, we’ll shape your coaching around the music you actually want to play — at your pace, with no pressure.

Vocal Groups
Our 8 week Vocal Group programs are designed to give vocalists the opportunity to sing with other individuals and grow in their ear training, ability to harmonize, and to get a chance to perform in front of their family and friends!
The program is divided into students of two age groups, approx. 10-14 and 15 & up. Non-voice students, or individuals outside of MDM are welcome join as well.
(an audition may be required without a referral from an MDM voice coach)
Here is how it works...
Students are assigned to one of the vocal groups that practice for 1.5 hours every week with one or two coaches, depending on group size.
Students in the Vocal Group programs are always working towards an upcoming public performance and throughout the course will perfect a collection of arranged songs.
Acapella Track: Will give vocalists the opportunity to sing with other individuals and grow in their ear training, ability to harmonize and confidence in soloing. Students in the Acapella Group Program will leave with 2 or 3 custom arranged acapella songs to perform live. Throughout the program, students will grow in their choral skills, learn about the voice as an instrument, work on their ability to perform and practice musical teamwork.
Musical Theater Track: Will cover what goes into performing a musical theater group number. From learning solos and harmonies to creating sound as an ensemble, the Musical Theater Group will build 2 or 3 Broadway-style numbers from the ground up to perform live. Along the way, students will be taught common musical theater terms and facts that will give them a leg up in both the audition and rehearsal rooms.
BOTH VOCAL GROUPS INCLUDE:- Structured Group Sessions for 1.5 hours each week for 8 weeks
- All of the Rehearsals Specialized with 1 or 2 coaches
- The coaches will arrange and print all the parts for the chosen songs outside of rehearsal time
- A Group Performance Show at the end of the session (coincides with our Rock School Band show at a local club)
Tuition (8-weeks): $279 for Members, $329 for Non-Members
(Members = being enrolled in our Private Coaching program)
Vocal Groups are a great way to make new friends and build camaraderie while learning to master your voice.

Songwriting
Our 8-week Songwriting program is divided into two programs.
Level 1, for those who:
- Have never written before
- Are seeking that "push" to break through the barriers of writer's block
- Would like to gain a basic understanding of Songwriting elements [ie song seeds, hook, melody, groove/riff, form (ABABC or AABA for example), harmonic languages, etc.]
Level 2 is for those who:
- Can accompany themselves on an instrument
- Are looking to eventually perform or record their songs
- Enjoy a good challenge to hold them accountable for continuing to write
- Are looking to break out of their comfort zones and venture into different styles of writing
Here is how it works...
Classes will be broken up into groups of 3-5 students per class, with 1.5 hours every week under the guidance of a coach/songwriter.
The goal of both levels is to end the session with at least one fully finished and polished original song. Level 2 would be challenged to write one song every week, with the same end goal of having one or more songs finalized and ready to possibly record or perform. Students would work together in each class to provide insight and feedback to help each other reach their songwriting goals.
In the Songwriting program you get:- Structured Group Sessions for 1.5 hours each week for 8 weeks
Tuition: $249 for Members, $299 for Non-Members
(Members = being enrolled in our Private Coaching program)
Our Songwriting Workshop is a great way to hone in on skills you already have and learn new techniques to further your progress.
Songwriting is also available in Private Coaching sessions!
