More than a weekly lesson. Here are the things we’ve built into the MDM experience.
MDM coaches are experienced musicians with real performance and training backgrounds — and they know how to connect with students. We look for coaches who can explain, motivate and make lessons enjoyable.
Private coaching is available for piano and keyboard, voice, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, cello, drums and percussion, plus theory and NYSSMA preparation. Kids, teens and adults are welcome.
We use the songs, styles and goals that matter to you while building the technique and music knowledge you need to keep improving. Want to read music? Great. Want to focus on songs you love? That works too.
Meet a coach, see the school and play some music before you commit. There’s no registration fee or obligation just to try your first lesson.
Rock School 101 gives students the chance to rehearse with a real band and work toward a live performance. Little Rockers introduces ages 3–5 to rhythm, singing, movement and instruments through play.
Our parent waiting area has comfortable seating and Wi‑Fi, plus observation windows on lesson-room doors. Parents are also welcome to sit in on a lesson when appropriate.
Our rooms are set up for music lessons with amps, drum kits, keyboards, pianos and the gear students and coaches need — so you can focus on learning.
MDM showcases give students a chance to perform in a real music-event atmosphere rather than a stiff recital. Families aren’t charged admission or extra recital fees.
Questions about scheduling, enrollment or your account go to a real MDM team that monitors phone, email and text communication and works to respond quickly.
Need an instrument, amp or accessory? We can help you choose the right gear and connect you with trusted music-industry vendors. Recurring MDM students can also benefit from preferred pricing.
We’re at 1673 Route 9 in Clifton Park inside the Healthplex Fitness building, with dedicated parking and easy access from around the Capital Region.
Recurring students keep a reserved weekly time slot with no annual registration fee. The recurring rate has a three-month minimum, then continues month to month under our current cancellation policy.
Families are busy. Our makeup options and policies are designed to provide more flexibility than a simple “use it or lose it” approach. See the Policy page for current notice requirements and details.
Recurring students and their immediate families have access to discounted Healthplex membership pricing — convenient for parents during a child’s lesson and for adult students before or after their own session.
